The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced gains for 10 consecutive sessions, with the Bank of Cyprus Holdings Ltd share (BOCH) to be substantially up in value for the last 2 weeks.
The General Price Index of the CSE closed on Thursday (11/05/2017) with a gain of +1,15% at 77.57 points, amounting the total percentage gained from the 26 April to +10.7%. The FTSE 20 Index closed at 46.48 points which translates into a gain of 1,18%.
Bank of Cyprus Holdings (BOCH CY) closed at €3.25, up +1,88%, with a volume of €723,000. On the London Stock Exchange, BOCH LN trades at around €3.30, up approximately 1,86%.
Yesterday, it was announced that Laiki Popular Bank, through its appointed liquidator, proceeded with selling the stake it had in the share capital of Bank Of Cyprus Holdings. Specifically, Laiki Popular Bank proceeded with the sale of 21,467,720 shares at a price close to €3.05 per share, with the total value of the transaction amounting to €65 million.
At the moment, the General Index of the CSE remains positive with the share price of BOCH to be close to €3.32.
